ASSESSMENT

Whether you are experiencing a particular problem or want to prevent problems in the future, Therapy Works can help. Our thorough assessment takes a look at both the “big picture” and the individual’s history—identifying the specific challenges and goals of each client. Generally, there are three kinds of evaluations:

Psychological Evaluations: Why is an individual unable to sleep, feeling overwhelmed and hopeless, or having negative thoughts?

Substance Abuse Evaluations: What is the risk that a person in recovery might relapse, and what preventative measures can he or she take to avoid that?

sun      Academic Evaluations: Why does a young person struggle at school?  Is it a learning disability, the result of a trauma, or the home environment?
