Designed to help motivated people in need who are ready to move from the streets or other unworkable living circumstances. Our Housing for the Homeless programs provide affordable, safe apartments where individuals and families can gain the personal and economic empowerment required to break the cycle of homelessness.

The temporary housing program has 12 units located in Valparaiso.  This is a 45-60 day program designed to get individuals off the street and receive customized support services.

The transitional housing program has 8 units located in Valparaiso. This is a 2-year program designed to get individuals off the street and into suitable housing.

The permanent housing program has 60 units, all located in Portage and Michigan City, and residents may stay in this program for as long as needed.

With all programs, case managers will work with them to enable their return to the community as a self-reliant citizen. These programs also offer job preparation skills/training, money management training, self-help programs, support groups, individualized support services, and treatment programs (as deemed necessary).
