Helping people get off the streets is only the first step in breaking the cycle of homelessness. Through funds received from the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, Housing Opportunities also provides permanent, affordable rentals, with 1, 2 and 3 bedroom units in Portage, Indiana.

Program Eligibility Requirements:

  • Applicants’ must be at our below 60% of the area median income
  • For a family of two, the annual household income must be below $29,460

Rents and Responsibilities:

  • Monthly rent for a one-bedroom unit is $490
  • Tenants pay for electric service
  • Housing Opportunities pays for water, sewage and trash pick-up
